CI-UNH announces 2012 summer trip to China

Once again, CI-UNH is organizing a UNH student summer trip to China at the end of May. The trip will last more than 3 weeks. Students will tour in China such as Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai for a week and take a Chinese conversational course (UNH CHIN 400) for over two weeks at Chengdu University. There may be short day trips in the vicinity of Chengdu during those two weeks. Students will earn 4 UNH credits at the summer rate.  

Cost:  This is a scholarship program. Students pay 4 UNH credit fee at summer rate plus round trip airfare to China (around $1500). The scholarship takes care of students travel, room and board in China.  

Who is eligible:  Full or part time UNH Students who meet UNH Study Aboard requirements. This includes students from UNH-M and Concord Law School. Selection will be on competitive bases.

When:  May 25 – June 17

Where:  Boston -> Beijing -> Xian -> Chengdu -> Shanghai -> Boston

CHIN 400: CHIN 400 is a Chinese conversational course taught at UNH each semester. It can be repeated. Students may be placed into an intermediate level course depending on actual language level.  

Interested students should fill out a study abroad application form and return that to Murkland G14 before March March 1st.
