Student
Recruitment & Retention

The UNH budget is highly dependent on tuition revenue. Programs
which don't attract a sufficient number of students will face
dwindling resources and possible extinction. It is also true that
engineering has traditionally experienced a very high drop out
rate. Are the students turned off by the program? Are we just
not attracting students with the necessary skills to survive the
program? It is clear that we need to study these issues and gather
the necessary statistics to answer these questions. There is a
strong linkage between this topic and Outreach
.
