Jere Chase Ocean Engineering Lab is located at:
24 Colovos Road, Durham, NH 03824.

Colovos Road is on the main (Durham) campus of the University of New Hampshire.

Parking is available at the Jere A. Chase Ocean Engineering Building.

Directions to the University of New Hampshire's main campus from all compass points are given below.

UNH is located off NH RT 4W.

From Portsmouth

Take the Spaulding Turnpike North to Exit 6W (RT 4 W) towards Durham to the Exit for RT 155A.

From the North (Maine)

Take I-95 S to Exit 5 (in NH) to the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16N), then take Exit 6W (RT 4W) toward Durham to the Exit for RT 155A.

From the South (Massachusetts)

Take I-95 N to Exit 4 (in NH) (left hand exit) to the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16N), then take Exit 6W (RT 4W) towards Durham to the Exit for Route 155A.

From the West (Manchester/Concord)

Take route 101 E to Exit 7 (RT 125 N). Follow RT 125 N to the traffic circle. Take RT 4E to the Durham Exit (2 miles)(RT 155A).

The Judd Gregg Marine Research Facility is located at:
25 Wentworth Road in New Castle, NH 03854.

The facility shares a site with the United States Coast Guard station.

Please note: the Town of New Castle has asked that traffic to this site approach the parking area as directed below.

FROM THE WEST

Take 101 East to Stratham, take the 108 North Exit. Go north (turn left at the light at the bottom of the ramp) on 108 to the Stratham Circle and take 33 (formerly 101) East. In Portsmouth, Route 33 goes over (overpass) ROUTE 95.

(*) Continue on 33 approximately one mile. On your right hand side you will see CALVARY CEMETERY. Go right at the stop light, at the corner of the cemetery, you are now on PEVERLY HILL ROAD. Follow PEVERLY HILL ROAD approximately one mile to ROUTE ONE. MARKET BASKET on your right. Cross Route One (go straight) onto ELWYN ROAD.

(**) Follow Elwyn Road 1 ¼ mile to Foyes Corner. At the corner you will see signs for 1A to 1B New Castle and the Wentworth. Follow Sagamore Road (1A) approximately ½ mile to Wentworth Road (1B). There is a Mobile Station on the corner. Turn Right onto Wentworth Road (1B) Pass the Wentworth By The Sea Golf Course on your right hand side, at one mile you will pass the over Little Harbor , the Marina will be on your right and the Wentworth Hotel. You are now in New Castle the Station is 1 ¼ miles ahead of you. THE SPEED LIMIT IN NEW CASTLE IS 25 MPH. Approx one mile from the bridge the main road takes a sharp 90 degree turn to the left GO STRAIGHT. At this turn you will see signs for Fort Constitution and the Coast Guard. Go Straight and turn right at the Large Coast Guard sign.

FROM THE SOUTH

Route 95N, Exit 3 (Route 33, Portsmouth) go right off the Exit and follow directions above from the (*).

FROM THE NORTH

Route 95S Exit 5, Portsmouth Circle. Take Route 1 South out of the Portsmouth Circle. When you reach MARKET BASKET turn left at the lights onto ELWYN ROAD and follow directions above from (**).
