Thinking of Majoring in English/Journalism?

Whether you’re shopping for a college or you’re already at UNH and looking for a major, this is the place to start finding out about the journalism program.  Journalism isn’t easy, but it’s a license to learn, a guarantee that you will meet new people and explore new ideas every day of  your working life. How cool – and how rare -- is that?

News is all about change, and right now everything about the news business is changing fast. Today’s journalism students will determine the future of news.  Democracy cannot function without information; for journalists, providing that information is a sacred trust.  So whatever form news may take in the future, there will always be a need for journalists who can recognize what’s important, report deeply, behave ethically, and write clearly and compellingly. The road to all that learning . . . starts right here.
