TIPS AND HELPFUL INFORMATION

Discover what summer session at UNH has to offer you...
Summer Session 06 at UNH in Durham offers many one-of a-kind educational experiences that you can't get any other time of the year. Get complete course descriptions on the Web: www.learn.unh.edu or call for a UNH Summer Session Catalog. (603) 862-1548. Courses can provide you an opportunity to earn extra credits, improve your GPA, take a course not offered during the academic year, or lighten your course load for fall and spring.

Don’t forget to Pack Your RAC when you head home this summer. WebCat opens again in mid July. During that time, LOTS of classes that were held for freshmen orientation will become available.  If you didn’t get the schedule you wanted, keep trying.  Changes and additions are made all summer long, and sometimes “major restrictions” are lifted allowing undeclared students to gain access to previously reserved courses.

The Basics: All undergraduates must register using WEBCAT (online registration). You must see your adviser before registration begins. Your adviser will give you a Registration Access Code (RAC) and tell you what day and time your window opens for registration.
Any unpaid university bills will block registration. To see if you have any unpaid University bills go to WEBCAT(Student Information Page).
No one gets all their first choices the first time. You have a window of opportunity to log on, and you can log on as many times as you want until that window is closed for you. Keep trying!
If you get a "link error," it means you forgot the lab that goes with a class. Enter both CRNs at the same time to avoid that.
If you get "closed" or "reserved/closed," that means you cannot get the class AT THIS TIME. Try again later!
If you are trying to get a "permission required" course, obtain the permission slip from the instructor and turn it in immediately to the Registrar's Office. It couldn't hurt to make yourself a copy of it first.
If your PIN says "invalid," go to the Registrar's Office in Stoke to get it reset immediately. Then write it down!
Print off your schedule when you are done. Double check the times...sometimes the Time & Room book is wrong and the time you thought you were getting isn't the correct time.
Save time & aggravation by checking the UNH Catalog for prerequisites and other major requirements.
If you have questions, find an advisor or a written source. While roommates, friends and others mean well, registration rules vary by class, college and major, and friends can tell you information that does not apply to you.
Don't give up...persistence can pay off. Keep logging on. You never know when someone else will drop something and create a space for you. Good luck!
