Dr. Lisa MacFarlane is currently Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at the University of New Hampshire and a professor of English and American Studies with twenty–two years of experience at UNH. Dr. MacFarlane has often served as a mentor for students doing research, but she was particularly excited about the prospect of “learning along with Isabel” about a significant primary source that had been lost from the scholarly record. Dr. MacFarlane proudly notes that “undergraduates can indeed do significant archival research that contributes materially to the fields in which we work.”
