Dr. Sexton graduated from UNH with his B.A. in History and Economics. He went on to receive his Ph.D. in Comparative Ethnic Studies from University of California, Berkeley. He is an Associate Professor of African American Studies and Film and Media Studies at the University of California, Irvine. He has published several articles on contemporary politics and popular culture and is the author of Amalgamation Schemes: AntiBlackness and the Critique of Multiculturalism.
