ADVANCE News

UNH ADVANCE is an NSF-funded project focused on strengthening policies and practices to address gender imbalance, particularly in STEM disciplines.

UNH ADVANCE Institutional Transformation (IT) builds on information gained in a 2009 ADVANCE PAID grant, Enhancing and Advancing the Scholarship of STEM Women Faculty at UNH. The ADVANCE IT grant, UNH Unbiased, will offer programs and activities in support of long-term institutional initiatives.

Recruitment and Retention

will develop equitable recruiting practices and strategies to prevent the loss of valued faculty.

Policies

will be directed at improving departmental climates and practices to ensure long-term change.

Leadership

will offer leadership skill development opportunities for all academic leaders to encourage supportive climates.

Tracking our Success

will be accomplished by collecting insititutional data measuring these initiatives. Check back for reports.
