Center for Cultural Citizenship
![]() |
Cultural citizenship concerns the ways in which various groups such as immigrants, religious groups, women and minorities use cultural practices to stake identity and citizenship claims. It is about the quest for cultural belonging, being counted and being heard in an increasingly globalized world. The Center for Cultural Citizenship’s goal is to educate and to promote awareness about this issue and to give voice to those looking to act and make change in their worlds. Please check back for our upcoming events and ongoing programs. For more information and to get involved, contact Melissa Deem, Center Director and Associate Professor of Communication. |
