SUBJECT: USNH Retirement Program
As a temporary faculty or staff member, you are entitled to contribute to the USNH retirement
program which offers two plans, Teachers' Insurance and Annuity Association/College
Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA/CREF) and Fidelity Investments. You may contribute to one or
both of these plans through payroll reduction if you meet the following eligibility criteria:

You must work at least 20 hours per week or teach at least two courses per semester (or the
equivalent)

You must be subject to FICA withholding

You may not be a participant of another USNH retirement plan

You must contribute a minimum of $200 annually
If eligible, you may contribute either 2.5% or 6% of your base earnings to TIAA/CREF and/or
Fidelity; and you may tax defer your contributions. USNH does not make a contribution to this
plan.
Enrollment packets are available at UNH Human Resources by calling 862-0501 (voice), 862-3227 (TTY). You may
enroll any time as an eligible faculty or staff member. Other resources available to you include:
