Fac/Staff Drop-In Yoga - Spring 2013

Summary: 

Spring 2013:  Fac/Staff Drop-In Yoga classes held twice weekly - Tuesday's and Friday's in PCAC's Museum of Art.

Cost:  $5 drop-in feeCash or checks only please.  (A receipt will be provided for each session you attend that you can use to be reimbursed via USNH/Harvard Pilgram’s Wellness Connection)

Materials:  We recommend you bring your own yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing.  A few mats are provided.  Please plan on arriving to class as promptly as possible so the instructor can begin on time and complete a full 50 minute session.

Tuesday sessions, 4pm - 5pm in PCAC Museum of Art are led by Lee Calderone, UNH Staff member

  • Lee has been a yoga instructor for the past 10 years teaching both Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. She completed her 200 RYT certification at Yoga on York, is STOTT Pilates mat certified, and has attended several workshops at Kripalu.  Lee’s classes focus on stretching, strengthening, building stamina and improving flexibility in a style of yoga suited for anybody.

Friday sessions, 12pm -1pm in PCAC Museum of Art are led by Dolores Leonard, UNH Staff member

  • Dolores is a long-time practioner and new teacher of vinyasa (flow style) yoga. Inspired by her personal experience using yoga to overcome injury and find balance in her life, she completed the 200 RYT certification at Yoga on York. She also has been certified to teach through Yogafit and recently completed a workshop with power yoga founder Beryl Bender Birch. Dolores has a student-centered teaching philosophy that emphasizes proper anatomical alignment, flexibility, strength building, coordinated breathing, and safety. Her goal is to make every class accessible, vigorous, and fun for all students.
