EXTENSION PROGRAM ASSOCIATE

Function of Job:
Under general supervision of designated supervisor, to be responsible for assisting the Extension Agent in implementing and evaluating educational programs to meet objectives in extension education.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and evaluating educational programs through meetings, workshops, seminars and individual contact.
- Assist in identifying and recruiting potential volunteers, group members and program participants.
- Provide information and assistance to clientele, volunteers, and groups as directed or requested.
- Coordinate arrangements for meetings, programs, and activities and assist in the organization of groups.
- Assist in planning and conducting training for volunteers through individual and group contacts.
- Act as liaison between Extension Agents and the County by serving as spokesperson for Extension programs, and networking with community agencies and organizations.
- Perform routine office tasks to include phone calling, preparing materials, coordinating publications and maintaining records and files.
- Complete time/activity reports and travel reports on a monthly basis.
- Attend training meetings and staff meetings as appropriate.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree and 2 years exp. or High School and 4 years experience.
- Valid N.H. drivers license.
- Supervisory, organizational and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work with adults and/or youth in the furthering of program goals.
- Willingness to travel within N.H.
