DUPLICATING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Function of Job:
Under general supervision from a designated supervisor, to operate duplicating equipment to provide photo-copying services as requested.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize material to be copied.
- Determine proper procedures, set up and operate duplicating equipment such as Xerox photocopiers.
- Instruct others in operation, as required.
- Respond to requests from students, staff, and faculty on duplicating matters; determine priorities on work orders received and schedule work.
- Take inventory, order supplies and store supplies received.
- Monitor use of equipment and assure that all copying is recorded/charged to appropriate departments or individuals.
- Collect cash for personal copying and submit to cashier with cash sales report.
- Make minor repairs to equipment or arrange with vendor for servicing of photocopiers, as required.
- May pick up/deliver work on a scheduled basis.
- Operate other binding equipment associated with copy service.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
- High school graduation and one year of experience in an office or duplicating center preferably with experience in operation of duplicating equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and organize own work.
- Must be able to wear and use appropriate protective equipment, as necessary.
