| The performance assessment process provides an opportunity for communication and a forum for guidance and counseling to promote the growth and professional development of staff members. It is a means to formally provide feedback regarding employees' performance of the past year and to establish performance and professional development goals for the upcoming year.
Performance assessments for all benefits eligible staff are to be completed annually. The assessment time period each year begins January 1 with all assessments being completed and received at Human Resources no later than May 30. Supervisor eligibility for any merit increase is predicated upon completion of all performance assessment documentation for direct reports. Completion also ensures employee eligibility for salary increases. The performance assessment instruments are available on the HR website in an interactive format which can be completed on line, then printed and signed or you can choose to print out the blank documents and complete them.
