"Expanded" Online Job Posting and Employment Site

This system will be on line for use for all PAT/EE/Temporary positions beginning Jan 17, 2003.
The Office of Human Resources is pleased to announce the expansion of the University’s new electronic job posting and employment website, developed in partnership with PeopleAdmin, Inc. to include Professional, Administrative and Technical; Extension Educator; and Temporary staff positions. The system has been used for Operating Staff positions since June 1, 2002. Feedback from campus departments and applicants has been extremely positive. They’ve provided input resulting in enhancements which have been incorporated as we expand to include all staff. The integrated, all-inclusive employment site facilitates and automates many of the labor intensive, paper-driven aspects of the recruitment, employment application and hiring process.
This system is accessible through many browsers, however we recommend Netscape 4.7 and above or Internet Explorer 5.5 and above for best performance. It offers many advantages for hiring supervisors and job seekers alike, including:
Hiring Department Benefits
- Ability to screen applicants 24 hours a day/7 days per week from any PC that has a browser and Internet access.
- Paperless review, status coding and retention of applications and resumes using the system’s electronic features.
- Ability to use templates from previously posted positions.
- Ability to incorporate job specific qualifying questions into the electronic application process to assist in the screening of applicants.
- Directly contact applicants that have met the minimum requirements for an interview.
- Eliminate delays inherent in current applicant review process.
- Summary reports for Human Resources will be automated (ex: no Staff Selection Form).
Hiring Managers will access our site at: www.unhjobs.com/hr using an account and password that will be created the first time they submit a position vacancy.
Applicant Benefits (Internal & External)
- Apply for employment with the University electronically and directly to positions that interest them.
- Utilize the same application to apply to PAT/EE/OS/Temporary positions.
- Receive an immediate response as to whether they meet minimum qualifications.
- Track the status of positions applied for using an established password protected user account.
- Maintain their online employment application, creating and saving multiple resume formats.
Internal and External applicants will access our site at: www.unhjobs.com to view and apply for jobs.
As a result of this product, we have:
- Made computers available in our lobby for applicants to apply in our office.
- Initiated training for staff who request assistance with posting vacant positions and understanding the process.
