If you've ever been responsible for coordinating the details of a major event, you likely understand what a complicated dance of activities it presents. As Facilities Scheduler at the MUB, Pam Samson confronts daily the myriad of details and logistics that are involved with event planning at the hive of campus activity. Pam is responsible for scheduling the rooms in the MUB for the array of events that take place there - meetings, classes, films, lectures, large major events and conferences. She also assists student organizations and clients in coordinating and implementing their event, often requiring that she serve as liaison between catering, parking, academic technology, security and others in order to ensure its success. Fortunately for the University community, Pam enjoys the connections she has made with so many others on campus. In fact, she credits these connections with opening opportunities for her involvement in campus organizations and committees, including the Women's Commission and Administrative Office Professionals.

Pam loves working in an academic environment and states that working with students keeps her energized, a sentiment that many of us on campus would probably echo. She also appreciates the fact that the University has supported her professional growth. She has completed a degree program at the College for Lifelong Learning, and was inspired by the adult learners she met there. As someone committed to campus involvement and personal and professional growth, Pam has certainly taken the initiative to benefit from her time at UNH.
