Hazel Foote has been working as a building service worker at the University of New Hampshire for nearly twenty years now. Throughout her time here Hazel has worked to keep things gleaming at several different locations on campus. From bathrooms to classrooms, offices to lounges, the President's House to the MUB, Hazel has succeeded in keeping building conditions comfortable for students, faculty and staff.

Hazel's motivation to help maintain and improve the physical environment at UNH has a lot to do with the strong relationships she has built with members of the University community. In fact, she still keeps in touch with the Nietzschke family, with whom she worked during her time as a building service worker at the President's House. It is precisely these relationships which have helped to sustain her during difficult times, including the death of her daughter in 1984. Many people with whom Hazel had worked extended their hand of support to her - from the Women's Hockey team to the good folks at James Hall. "We have so many real good people here at UNH," Hazel states.
