Have you ever wondered just how many periodicals are in the holdings of the UNH libraries? Ann Cloutier could likely answer that question for you. She is responsible for the acquisitions, distribution and maintenance of current and bound periodicals for the main library and the branch libraries. With over 8000 titles and electronics, UNH holds periodicals on a broad range of subjects, reflecting the diversity of activities on an academic campus.

Is your latest copy of Blood (the Journal of Hematology) late in arriving? Well, thanks in large part to Ann, the Biological Sciences Library in Kendall Hall has a copy you can peruse. From the mainstream People magazine to the lesser-known Cement, the periodicals of the world are well represented at UNH due to the dedication of the Serials Unit, and the supervision of Ann Cloutier.

Ann has been a member of the UNH community for over ten years now, and it is obvious that esteem for her coworkers has played a large role in keeping her at the library. As the result of the shared loss of a much-loved friend and coworker, Elaine Tibbetts-Royce - she and her mentor, Jody Fernald, have forged a unique bond. Ann attributes her success largely to Jody's patience, experience, kindness, and ability to share her knowledge.
