Searching for a sympathetic ear? Or a quintessential people person? Need a creative solution to a difficult problem? Look no further than Angie Lombard, UNH's own on-campus recruiting coordinator.

Angie began her career at UNH four and a half years ago while looking for a sensible way to pay for her own college education. "It seemed like a great environment to work in." she said. She then began carving her niche in the University Advising and Career Center, starting out as Assistant to the Internship Coordinator, and later serving as the Administrative Assistant to the Honors Program for a year, before finally assuming her current position as the On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator.

The duties of the On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator require Angie to not only "coordinate on-campus recruiting activity between students, employers, and UNH and market these recruiting programs to them, but also to administer 50% of the department's website, as well as participate in the June Freshman Orientation with Liberal Arts Academic Advisors." To maintain this fast-paced schedule, Angie relies on "organization, multi-tasking and team work" as well as her own innate abilities to problem solve. "I'm encouraged to be as creative as I can within my position." She also endorses plenty of patience as a helpful addition to her lifestyle.

"UNH doesn't always feel like a '9-5' job," Angie says. When she's not at work, Angie has many hobbies and interests that keep her active and relaxed. She enjoys mountain biking, running, hiking, and of course, following the Red Sox. She also bartends part-time in a fine dining establishment in Portsmouth, "primarily for the social aspect." Whether at work, behind the bar, or on the trail, you can be sure that whatever Angie Lombard does, she will do it with the utmost energy and creativity as possible.
