Sick Leave

Sick Leave is designed to provide salary continuation for absences due to personal illness and injury. "Mental Health" days are considered vacation/personal leave unless substantiated by a physician's statement.

Accumulation

Sick leave is accumulated at the rate of 1.25 days each month based on a full-time appointment; flex-year appointments accumulate sick leave based on their percent time of appointment. Faculty, Operating Staff on Traditional Leave, and exempt staff members may accumulate up to 130 (working) days.
