  The HPC Bridge is under construction and will be completed during the summer of 1996
  Current Status of the Bridge

• Proposed Testing:

  The testing program of the HPC Bridge will consist of:

  Instrumenting two of the five bridge girders at their midspan with:

  Four thermistors placed at various depths

  Three strain gauges located in the bottom flange

  
  

  Strain and Temperature readings have been taken:

  While the girders were steamed cured and

  After the prestressing strains were cut

  
  

  Additional measurements will be taken:

  Just before the girders are shipped from the plant

  During the placement of the girders at the site and

  During service of the bridge
