STARTING RATE OF PAY FOR EVERY POSITION IS $10.00
LENGTH OF SUMMER EMPLOYMENT: MAY 22 - AUGUST 25

PAINT CREW-20 positions

Duties: Painting bedrooms and common areas within residence halls and apartments. Work will involve surface preparation, wall and trim painting as well as cleaning tools and the work area.  High work standards, good work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work on a team is a must.  On the job training will be provided.

REPAIR CREW-30 positions

Duties:  Inspect, maintain and repair furniture in preparation for occupancy.  Work includes rough carpentry, spot painting, and equipment and facility repairs and is done using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools. High work standards, good work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work on a team is a must.  On the job training will be provided.

FURNITURE MOVING CREW-18 positions

Duties: Move, assemble and set-up of furniture in student rooms and lounges to best utilize space. Maintain, organize and clean storage rooms. Must be able to lift heavy objects. High work standards, good work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work on a team is a must.  On the job training will be provided.

CONFERENCE OFFICE ASSISTANT - 2 part time positions (approx 20 hours per week)

Duties: Support the summer conference program by providing excellent customer service in person and on the phone. A successful candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, be able to maintain professional demeanor when under pressure, have strong administrative and organizational skills as well as a keen eye for detail.

HOSPITALITY PREP CREW - 2 positions (approx 35 hours per week)

Duties:  Support the summer conference program by inspecting and preparing rooms before and after conferences. Must be able to move large appliances, lift 25 pounds, distribute and collect linen, and restock inventory supplies. Staff must be able to work independently or on small teams and have a valid driver’s license. Additionally, CPC should be dependable, comfortable with driving, and have a strong attention to detail. 

HOSPITALITY SERVICE CREW – 1 part time positions (approx 10-15 hours per week)

Duties:  Perform the check in and out of summer conference guests, including auditing residence hall keys before check in and after check out, attend group check in to distribute keys and manage roster changes.  Good customer service and attention to detail are a must.  In addition, this position will assist with the youth conference group fire drills.  The majority of this work will take place at night and on weekends.  

NETWORKED SYSTEMS ASSISTANTS (cable TV, card access, etc.) – 2 positions

Duties: Assist staff in the maintenance, repair and installation of components in the Cable TV, Card Access, Cable Modem, and Laundry Point of Sale network or networked systems. Work with basic hand, power tools and sometimes a variety of system test devices. Work performed under supervision of qualified personnel. High work standards, good work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work on a team is a must.  On the job training will be provided.

LAUNDRY MAINTENANCE ASSISTANTS – 2 positions

Duties: Clean laundry areas and machines. Assist staff with the maintenance, repair and installation of laundry machines such as washers/dryers. Work with cleaning supplies. Will also use basic hand and power tools. Work performed under supervision of qualified personnel. High work standards, good work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work on a team is a must.  On the job training will be provided.

CLEANING CREW- 18 positions

Duties:  Clean all areas within the Gables, Woodside, and Forest Park apartment complexes both inside and out.  This includes kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, floors, carpets, light grounds and repair work, etc.  High work standards, good work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work on a team is a must.  On the job training will be provided.

HOUSING OFFICE ASSISTANT- 2 positions

Duties: Responsibilities focus heavily on providing excellent service to customers at the front desk and on the phone, coordinating and leading residence hall room tours to incoming first-year students and a variety of other projects as assigned. The Housing Office Assistant must love working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, be able to maintain professional demeanor when under pressure, have strong administrative and organizational skills as well as a keen eye for detail.

HOUSING IT ASSISTANT- 2 positions

Duties: Responsibilities include assisting the department with our Drupal site and our new student portal.  Specifically, content editing and development, image and graphic manipulation, portal application testing and data entry. Our ideal candidate is a good written and oral communicator, can follow a flow chart and is willing to learn new skills. Desired majors: Communications, Business, Computer Science
