Study Abroad

If you lived on-campus during the semester immediately preceding your UNH approved exchange experience, you are eligible

for campus housing upon your return. You must  submit an Intent to Return to Housing after Exchange Program form prior to leaving for exchange: Webcat/Services tab > Housing Online > Assignments/Forms

If you do not do so, housing is not guaranteed. Filling out the form does not obligate you; it simply lets us keep in touch with you during your exchange and to provide important sign-up information.

Available via your Blackboard account, on the Housing Online module

  • Webcat/Services tab > Housing Online > Assignments/Forms

This online form does not commit you contractually or financially - it simply lets us know that you have initial interest in returning to campus housing and allows us to keep in touch with you during your exchange and to provide you important sign-up information.

Housing will contact you at your UNH email address in mid-February detailing the online housing reapplication process and instructions on how to pay your housing deposit through Blackboard.  Once you have done those two things, you will be able to participate in the In-Hall process or the online Apartment or Between-Hall process.

It is vital that you check it regularly during your exchange program to receive important information/ deadlines.

You will be emailed a Returning Exchange Housing Agreement form to your UNH address in late October allowing you to tell us your housing and roommate preferences. It must be returned to Housing, along with a non-refundable housing deposit, by the deadline stated in the email.

We cannot guarantee any specific assignment.

Final assignments are typically available no later than one week prior to the start of the spring semester.

If you did not live on-campus immediately prior to leaving for your exchange, or used a non-UNH approved exchange program, you can go on the waitlist for the semester of your intended return, however, you are not guaranteed on-campus housing.  Offers will be made to students on the waitlist on a space-available basis. Information about the waitlist process is available on our website.
