The waitlist for the Fall 2008 will open on Friday, February 29th at 8:00am. On that date, you may submit a Waitlist Application in person by visiting the Housing Office or you may download a copy from the forms section of our website and submit it to us via fax (603-862-3406), via mail, or you can scan it as an image and attach it to an e-mail addressed to housing.office@unh.edu.  Please be sure to submit your application as soon as possible after the waitlist opens as date and time of receipt is one factor that is considered when we make offers.  Please be aware that waitlist applications do not carry over from semester to semester.

If there are spaces available after we assign our current residents, typically during the summer for fall assignments and December for spring assignments, we make offers to students on the waitlist.

The order in which we will make offers is determined by a priority system.  Within each priority level, offers are made according to the date and time that the application was received in our office.  The priorities are as follows:

  1. Medically re-admitted UNH students.
  2. Exchange students from other institutions and returning UNH students who lived on-campus immediately prior to participating in UNH sponsored programs at other institutions in the U.S. and abroad.
  3. International students transferring to UNH.
  4. UNH-Manchester students transferring to the UNH-Durham campus.
  5. Other transfer students coming to UNH directly from another college.
  6. Re-admitted UNH students.
  7. UNH students living off-campus and current on-campus residents who did not submit an application or deposit by the published deadlines.

Division of Continuing Education students may be eligible for an exception to the housing eligibility policy when space is available.

We are not able to predict how many spaces we will have for any given semester but we encourage all students who would like to be considered for on-campus housing to submit a waitlist application.  Housing will only notify you (via email) if we are able to offer you housing.

If you absolutely need a guarantee of housing, we encourage you to explore off-campus housing opportunities, as we are not able to make any guarantees of housing at this time.
