Why did you become a Hall Director?
During my undergrad, I got an opportunity to work with a Residence Hall Director who not only told me I can do whatever I set my mind to but also pushed me to step out of my comfort zones and challenge me to be the best version of myself. That changed my life. Becoming a RHD is my way of sharing the gift that has been given to me with the students I serve at UNH. It is my hope that I can do for you what my former Hall Director had done for me.
Why do you choose UNH?
This sounds crazy but I had fun during all of my interviews with UNH (Yes, job interviews can be fun and enjoyable! I didn’t know about this before my UNH interviews, either). During my campus visit, the staff and the students made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. Everything just felt right and that was how I knew UNH was the place for me.
Advice for first-year students...
One of the best pieces of advice I have ever received in life is: Keep going. If you are having a hard day, keep going. If you are not reaching your goals when you should, keep going. Even if you think you may fail, keep going. Whatever the situation you are in, just keep going until you get to where you want to be. And don’t forget, we are here to help you along the way so you can keep going!
