Laundry Information

All of our on-campus apartment complexes and residence halls have laundry facilities. Each laundry facility is equipped with both 18 pound front-load, stacked Speed Queen dryers and 18 pound front-load Speed Queen washers with the exception of Stoke Hall. In addition to the 18 pound front-load dryers, Stoke Hall also has five (5) front-load 30 pound Speed Queen dryers.

Our family housing complex laundry facility , the Forest Park Apartments, is equipped with eight (8) 30 pound front-load Speed Queen dryers.

Value Pricing Rates and Hours

is effective from Midnight to Noon each day in res halls, Woodside & Gables.
At Forest Park value pricing is effective from 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Washers are 15% less than regular pricing ($1.19 v $1.40)
Stacked dryers are 15% less than regular pricing ($0.3825 v $0.45) for 18 minutes
Large capacity dryers are 15% less than regular pricing ($0.4675 v $0.55) for 15 minutes

Regular Pricing Rates and Hours

is effective from Noon to Midnight each day in res halls, Woodside & Gables.
At Forest Park regular pricing is from 3:00pm until laundry room closes.

Washers are $1.40 per cycle
Stacked dryers are 45 cents for 18 minutes
Large capacity dryers are 55 cents for 15 minutes

Note: Different residence halls have different laundry machines. Pricing is relative to the laundry equipment in use. Some of the rates listed above may not be available in each laundry room.

How To Use A Speed Queen Washer

Load clothes. Be sure to remove all items from clothing pockets. Please insure that undergarments with metal underwires are placed in a washable mesh bag to prevent damage to your clothes
Add detergent, bleach and fabric softener **ONLY ADD ¼ CUP OF DETERGENT** to avoid over sudsing!!! Front load washers use less water, thus, less detergent is required. HE (high efficiency) detergent is preferred. Please do not use washer detergent sheets as they damage the machines and can possibly damage your clothes.
At the Cat's Cache card reader select which machine you will be using
Swipe your card
At the machine, select wash water temperature
Make sure the door is closed
Press Start

How To Use A Speed Queen Dryer

IMPORTANT Before loading your clothes you must clean the lint screen otherwise air cannot circulate effectively through the clothes in the dryer and efficiently dry them. This could cause you to use multiple drying cycles and cost you much more to dry your clothes!
Load only 18lbs of clothes. Be sure to remove all items from clothing pockets otherwise damage may occur to your clothes. The dryer should be approximately ½ full when you look through the front glass. Overloading the dryer will slow the drying time as air cannot circulate effectively through the clothes in the dryer and efficiently dry them. This could also cost you more to dry your clothes!
At the Cats Cache card reader select machine and swipe your Cat's Cache Card.
At the machine select the desired heat temperature
Make sure the door is closed
Press Start
If you need to purchase more drying time. At the Card Reader Display Screen, select your machine number and then select the “Add Time Option” in the lower left corner of the display screen and swipe your card again.
