Choosing a Residence Hall

Choosing a Residence Hall

If you would like to stay in your same residence hall for the 2015-2016 academic year you must select the In-Hall selection process on your online Housing Reapplication.  (Please note that this option is not available to students living in first-year student only halls.)

  • On March 4, 2015 you will participate in the On-line In-hall room selection process.

Instructions:

  • You will create a group (could be a group of 1 if you are going for a single).
  • On a specified date closer to the start of the process the group captain will be able to view rooms that will be available during the online in-hall process. It is good to note that the sign-up time will vary based on which pool/hall you are signing up in, because the sign-up time is based on the priority point, held by that hall's resident.
  • Then on the sign-up date and time, the group captain will enter the sign-up pool for the hall they want and choose from whatever spaces are available.

If you would like to move to a different residence hall for the 2015-2016 academic year (or are currently assigned to a first-year only residence hall e.g., Williamson, Christensen, Alexander, Richardson) you must select the Between-Hall selection process on your online Housing Reapplication.

There are two ways in which you can move to a different residence hall.

  • Pulled-in as a roommate by a friend who is currently living in another residence hall. (Your friend would participate in his/her In-Hall process and have you as their pull-in).
  • ON-LINE Between-Hall sign-up process on March 9 and/or 10.

Further information will be emailed or posted on the web, Facebook and in your residence halls. Your RA and hall director also will have information for you.
