Honors Liaison Calendar

  • Fall Semester
  • Spring Semester
  • August/September
    • You will receive two lists and a form.
      1) A list of all UHP and non UHP seniors in your department/s with a qualifying GPA.
      2) A list of all UHP and non UHP underclass students in your department/s with a qualifying GPA.
      3) A form in which you send us the names of those students graduating in September and December, completing an honors designation in your department/s.
    • Required: Please complete and return the form in which you send us the names of all students who are fulfilling “University Honors” or “Honors-in-Major” requirements in your department/s for both September and December graduation ( as mentioned above.)

    • Please inform your students graduating in September and December that they should print out certification forms from our website, complete their part, and have them signed by you or some other designated person in your department and bring them to us. We will inform these students through email as well.
    • We will not send the students’ names to the Registrar’s Office for official recognition on their diploma and transcript unless we have the completed certification form from them!

    • Please sign honors designation forms for upperclass students (both UHP and Honors-in-major only) fulfilling an honors designation in your department. The students are required to submit the completed forms to the Registrar's Office during the three-week drop-add period at the beginning of the semester. (Another way to keep track of your students!)
    • Please invite all eligible freshmen and sophomores to an information session on your honors-in-major program sometime in the fall before the pre-registration period begins.
  • Ocotober/November
    • When you meet with your Honors-in-Major students during pre-registration, it would be useful to update an honors checklist or some other form you devise, in order to keep accurate records of the students’ progress in your honors-in-major program.
    • Please remind your University Honors students to stop by the Honors Program office at some point in the semester to inform us of their progress towards completion of the program.
    • Please send the UHP a copy of all thesis agreement forms completed during pre-registration (if your department is using them).
  • December and January
  • HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

  • February

    • Please remind your “Honors-in-Major” students to submit their completed certification forms to the Honors Program Office.
    • Please hold a meeting of all sophomores eligible for honors-in-major in your department/major before pre-registration, and inform them of the requirements for completion of it.
  • April
    • Please inform our office if any students have decided to drop the honors senior thesis or there are any other extenuating circumstances of which we should be aware.
    • Please attend the Undergraduate Research Conference at the end of the month.
  • May
  • See you at Convocation and Graduation!!
