First-Year Student Application to join the University Honors Program

If you are a first-year UNH student with a 3.4 GPA, you may apply to the University Honors Program. You'll need to provide the following:

  1. A graded UNH paper (See us if you are unable to provide one.)
  2. A brief letter of support from a UNH instructor. This letter should be sent directly to the University Honors Program, or be submitted electronically to honors.program@unh.edu.
  3. A transcript of your current grades
  4. A cover letter in which you explain how your academic plans will be enhanced by the program

Our office will also request your UNH folder from the Registrar’s Office. Please note that admission to the program at this time is highly selective.
