Minor
Undergraduate Minor Requirements
A minor in history consists of 20 semester credits with C- or better and at least a 2.00 grade-point average in courses that the Department of History approves. Courses taken on a pass/fail basis may not be used for the minor. No more than 12 credits in 400-level courses may be used for this minor. For transfer students, no more than 2 transfer courses, or 8 transfer credits, may be used towards the minor.
Students intending further work in history beyond the bachelor's degree are urged to take HIST 775, Historical Methods.
The History and Philosophy of Science Minor
History Department faculty coordinate an interdisciplinary minor in the History and Philosophy of Science. Coursework is drawn not only from the History Department, but from other programs across the University, such as the Philosophy Department, the Psychology Department, the Humanities Program, and the Economics Department.

The Religious Studies Minor
History Department faculty coordinate an interdisciplinary minor in Religious Studies. Coursework is drawn from the History Department and from other programs across the College, including the English Department, the Philosophy Department, and the Anthropology Department.
