Clinical Services include annual examinations, diagnosis and treatment of abnormal pap smears, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy testing and counseling, contraceptive services, and limited sexual assault services. Women's health counseling is also provided. Health Services also offers education, a resource library and online resources. Education/information are free to the UNH community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee.
Whether you are traveling abroad for fun or for academic/professional reasons, all your medical travel needs can be met conveniently at Health Services during the academic year through the state-approved travel clinic. It is recommended that you schedule your travel clinic visit at least 4-6 weeks before you plan to leave. If students have paid the health fee, visits to the travel clinic are covered, immunizations are charged at a reduced rate.
Health Services offers many tobacco cessation options such as nicotine replacement therapy, hypnosis, medical acupuncture, and prescription medication. Health Services Radiology Department performs most standard diagnostic x-rays. All x-rays take at Health Services are reviewed by a local Radiologist. An x-ray order from a Health Services Medical Clinician, Employee Clinic Medical Clinician or off-campus heatlhcare provider is required before scheduling any x-rays.

Primary care services (examples include respiratory illnesses, all kinds of injuries, mental health concerns, intestinal disorders, dermatologic issues and much more) are offered at no additional cost to students who have paid the health fee. For a fee, primary care visits are available to students who have not paid the health fee. Acute care medical services are available to all employees for a fee at the Employee Clinic.
Health Services has prescriptions medications and limited non-prescription medications(at reduced cost compared to local retailers) available for a fee for students. UNH employees can access the Pharmacy in conjunction with acute care visits. Many low cost generic prescriptions are available for $5.
Health Services provides medical acupuncture for students for a cost. Ear acupuncture is performed for smoking cessation and stress reduction and body acupuncture is provided for acute and chronic muscular pain and chronic headaches.

Health Services laboratory providers most standard diagnostic lab tests. A lab order request from a Health Services Medical Clinician, Employee Clinic Medical Clinician or off-campus health care provider is required before any laboratory procedure can be scheduled. There is a fee for lab tests.

Allergy shots and routine immunizations are available to faculty, staff, and students and all employees for a fee. Health Services will bill insurance. The remaining cost is the responsibility of the patient. Students must bring their orders and serum to the first appointment and may store their serum at Health Services.
