What does health mean to you?:Being able to stay active, play with my family and enjoy the outdoors whether it is hiking in the White Mountains or canoeing on a local waterway.
What do you do to make a Healthy UNH?:I like to think my positive attitude and good spirits bring a healthy aspect to UNH.
How do you stay fit?:As a creature of habit I visit the Works Health club at least three mornings a week on my way to UNH. I try to get in a walk every day at lunchtime.
Do you have any tips for eating healthfully?:
Drink more water and have fewer snacks at the desk. These tips are for my benefit as much as anyone reading this.
How do you find motivation to stay healthy?:Basically I know healthy habits will help keep me away from the doctor. Knowing that good health will keep me active with my family is another big motivator.
Have you made any tangible improvements to your physical or mental well-being by making positive changes in your life?:I would say participating in Healthy Returns makes a big difference in my habits. It is a nice reminder to keep on track, which really helps.
Anything else you would like to add?:
I just do my best to keep healthy habits and take great satisfaction in all the positive habits.
