Seasons Allergen Friendly Concept

Seasons Allergen Friendly Concept is located at Philbrook Dining Hall this concept is a pilot program that offers meal options that are prepared without the major 8 allergens. Menu selections are prepared in the location to avoid risk of cross contact by trained culinary associates to ensure the integrity of  the offerings to our guests. Featured are a protein based recipe, fresh vegetable, gluten free starch, daily soup selections, composed salad and a leafy green salad with homemade dressing.

Guiding Stars Program

UNH Dining introduced the Guiding Stars® program into campus for the 2009/2010 academic year in an effort to provide students, faculty and staff with the most nutritious food choices. Guiding Stars® features a proprietary algorithm that rates the nutrient density of foods per 100 calories based on USDA, FDA, WHO, NAS, and other guidelines.

Gluten Free Program

All 3 dining halls have set aside a separate gluten-free (GF) refrigerator area for storage of select GF products for your self service (GF dry cereal selections, GF Vans frozen waffles, GF bagels and bread, GF crackers and cookies, individually portioned peanut butter, cream cheese, jelly, pure maple syrup, GF Ken's salad dressings and GF barbeque sauce). GF desserts will be at all dining halls. All dining halls have separate pans at their omelette/stir fry stations where you can ask to have your item made gluten free.

Cornucopia Food Pantry/Waysmeet Center

Provides weekly emergency food supplies; food baskets three times a year; emergency needs response; monthly community dinners and drum circles, food rescue and recovery programs.
