Laboratory

Health Services laboratory providers most standard diagnostic lab tests.  A lab order request from a Health Services Medical Clinician, Employee Clinic Medical Clinician  or off-campus heatlhcare provider is required before any laboratory procedure can be scheduled. There is a fee for lab test.

Acute Care

The UNH Employee Clinic offeres acute care services (ex. Infections, injuries, headaches, heartburn, etc.) to current employees of USNH and their dependents (over the age of 18)

Travel Health Clinic

Whether you are traveling abroad for fun or for academic/professional reasons, all your medical travel needs can be met conveniently at Health Services during the academic year through the state-approved travel clinic. It is recommended that you schedule your travel clinic visit at least 4-6 weeks before you plan to leave. If students have paid the health fee, visits to the travel clinic are covered, immunizations are charged at a reduced rate. Clinic visit and immunizations are charged at a reduced rate for faculty, staff and adjunct employees.

Sexual Orientation and Education Counseling

Students and employees who are GLBTQQIA (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, or Allies), will find a safe haven within Health Services. Health Services has gay and gay-friendly staff who are supportive and affirming to all GLBTQQIA students.  Education, a resource library, and online resources are available. Education/information is free to the UNH Community. Counseling available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. Students who have not paid the health services fee have an additional cost.

Pharmacy

Health Services has prescriptions medications and limited non-prescription medications(at reduced cost compared to local retailers) available for a fee for students. UNH employees can access the Pharmacy in conjunction with acute care visits.  Many low cost generic prescriptions are available for $5.  Faculty and staff can use their flexible spending account (FSA) to cover co-payments

Nutrition Counseling

A nutrition counselor (registered and licensed dietician) is available for consultation on nutrition issues, medical nutrition, eating concerns, and special diets. Peer education and cooking classes are also available. Education and information are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee.

HIV Testing and Counseling

Health Services provides a confidential walk-in HIV counseling/testing clinic on Thursdays from 11-2, during the academic year, for $25. Results provided in 20 minutes.

Appointments are also available to students. For students who have paid the health fee, there is no cost in addtion to the $25 test fee. There is an appointment cost for students who have not paid the health fee.
