Men's Health

Men's Health offers clinical services, counseling, education, programs, and resouces on various topics pertaining men's health and wellness. Education and information is free for the UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee. Clinical services are available for students and some services covered by the health fee.

Meditation

Meditation is an experience of relaxing the body, quieting the mind, and awakening the spirit. Walk-in group meditation sessions are offered  to the UNH community. Appointments to learn how to meditate are available for students. Meditation tracks are available to download from the Health Services website.

Grief Support

Education, a Resource Library, and online resources are available to students experiencing grief and loss.

Gambling Cessation

Wellness educators/counselors are available to provide counseling and resources to students who are concerned about their gambling, and is free for students who have paid the health fee. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee. Free education and information is available for concerned family and friends through the Resource Library at Health Services and through online resources.

Financial Management Education

Health Services provides information on financial wellness and resources for those seeking assistance with personal finance. Counseling is available for free to students who have paid the health fee and is available at a cost to students who have not paid the health fee. A Resource Library is available at Health Services and online resources are also available.

Eating Concerns Education and Counseling

Health Services provides Nutritional counseling with a registered dietitian for students struggling with an eating concern and is free for students who have paid the health fee. Support and information for concerned friends and families is also available, including Eating Concerns Mentors, who are UNH students trained to provide support, resources and referral to students struggling with eating concerns/body image issues. A Resource Library is available at Health Services and online resources are also available.

Communication Skill-Building

Communicating well with others is essential to our overall well-being and maintaining healthy relationships with others. Health Services provides information and education for free to the UNH community. Counseling is available at no charge for students who have paid the health fee and for a fee for students who have not paid the health fee. Chronic Illness Care

Health Services provides medical care, education and support for students with chronic illnesses with a philosophy of helping individuals to self-manage while providing education and support so they can continue classes and daily activities and manage the changing emotions and symptoms which may be brought about by chronic illness. Education and information is free to the UNH community. Counseling is free to students who have paid the health fee and for a fee for students who have not paid the health fee.

Body Image Education and Counseling

UNH students come in all different sizes, shapes and colors. Learning to love the body you were born with is an important step in taking care of yourself. Wellness educators/counselors and nutrition counselors are available for one-on-one counseling to help you to enhance your body image. Education and information is available for free to the UNH community. Counseling is available at no cost to students who have paid their health fee and at a cost for students who have not paid their health fee.

Allergy and Immunization Services

Allergy shots and routine immunizations are available to faculty, staff, and students and all employees for a fee.  Students must bring their orders and serum to the first appointment and may store their serum at Health Services.
