Nutrition Counseling

A nutrition counselor (registered and licensed dietician) is available for consultation on nutrition issues, medical nutrition, eating concerns, and special diets. Peer education and cooking classes are also available. Education and information are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee.

Men's Health

Men's Health offers clinical services, counseling, education, programs, and resources on various topics pertaining men's health and wellness. Education and information is free for the UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee. Clinical services are available for students and some services covered by the health fee.

Transgender students and employees will find a safe haven within Health Services.  Basic medical services and referrals to specialists for care available.  Education, a resource library, and online resources are available. Education/information is free to the UNH Community. Counseling available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. Students who have not paid the health services fee have an additional cost.

Financial Management Education

Health Services provides information on financial wellness and resources for those seeking assistance with personal finance. The CashCourse website has information on managing finances.  Counseling is available for free to students who have paid the health fee and is available at a cost to students who have not paid the health fee. A Resource Library is available at Health Services and online resources are also available.

Eating Concerns Education and Counseling

Health Services provides Nutritional counseling with a registered and licensed dietitian for students struggling with an eating concern and is free for students who have paid the health fee. Support and information for concerned friends and families is also available, including Eating Concerns Mentors, who are UNH students trained to provide support, resources and referral to students struggling with eating concerns/body image issues. A Resource Library is available at Health Services and online resources are also available.

Communication Skill-Building

Communicating well with others is essential to our overall well-being and maintaining healthy relationships with others. Health Services provides information and education for free to the UNH community. Counseling is available at no charge for students who have paid the health fee and for a fee for students who have not paid the health fee. A Resource Library is available at Health Services and online resources are available.

Chronic Illness Care

Health Services provides medical care, education and support for students with chronic illnesses with a philosophy of helping individuals to self-manage while providing education and support so they can continue classes and daily activities and manage the changing emotions and symptoms which may be brought about by chronic illness. Education and information is free to the UNH community. Counseling is free to students who have paid the health fee and for a fee for students who have not paid the health fee.

Mental Health Consultation & Outreach Services

The Counseling Center attempts to meet the emotional and mental health needs of the campus community by reaching out to those who may not seek counseling services. Our Consultation and Outreach activities include educational programs and classes, committee participation, and clinical consultation. Staff members are available to consult with faculty, staff, parents, or students who may be concerned about a student.
