Alcohol and Other Drugs Education and Counseling

The Alcohol and Other Drugs Education and Counseling Program aims to provide accurate and current information to the UNH Community about alcohol and other drugs. The program covers the full range of risks associated with high risk alcohol use including the legal, academic, social and physical impacts.  Services are available for those who self-refer and for those who are mandated to participate and are led by wellness educators/counselors.

Acute Care

The UNH Employee Clinic offers acute care services (e.g. Infections, injuries, headaches, heartburn, etc.) to current employees of UNH/USNH and their dependents.  

Health Services offers acute care for students.

Family Connections Center

The mission of the Family Connections Center is to strengthen the connection between incarcerated parents and their families while facilitating ties to their community through education and support.  Over the past 12 years, the FCCs' offerings have included parenting education classes, weekly parenting support groups, one‐on‐one virtual/video visits between incarcerated mothers or fathers and their children, life skills seminars, relationship and communications course for couples, and much more.

Identifying Students at Risk: An Online Training Simulation for Faculty, Staff, and Students

Kognito is a online, interactive, gatekeeper training program to help all faculty and staff identify at risk students ( for depression,anxiety and harm to self and others) as well as to help students identify their peers who are at risk for these same mental health issues. Two particularly at risk student groups,LGBT and Veterans , are the focus of two of the trainings.

Be Tobacco Free

A program created by the National Cancer Insitute, Smokefree.gov offers short and long-term tools and resources to help individuals understand the risks of tobacco and how to help them quit. Smokefree.gov also offers a quitline; trained counselors who can text or talk over the phone about a wide arrange of tobacco and quitting topics.
