Adjunct Employees

Allergy Services

Allergy shots and routine immunizations are available to faculty, staff, and students and all employees for a fee.  Health Services will bill insurance.  The remaining cost is the responsibility of the patient. Students must bring their orders and serum to the first appointment and may store their serum at Health Services.

Water Fitness Classes

Aquacise is a basic aerobic class in shallow or deep water offering less impact for the same intensity as a land-based aerobic class. This class is set to music and starts with a warm up, moving into the aerobic segment, cooling down, and finishing with stretches.

If you need individual attention and a workout program designed for you, sign up for PFT. A certified trainer will provide you with information, feedback, testing, and a workout designed to meet your needs. Check the Campus Recreation website for program details and costs.

Outdoor Adventure Trips

Outdoor Adventure Trips include kayaking, backpacking, and others throughout New Hampshire and New England on most weekends throughout the academic year. Prices vary. Trips are available to faculty, staff, adjunct employees, students, and community members.

Mendums Pond

The Outdoor Recreation Area is a beautiful 200-acre site just nine miles from Durham. The pond is located on the Little River, a tributary of the Lamprey River and part of the larger Piscataqua River watershed. The Area is perfect for boating and picnicking. Two picnic pavilions are provided and canoes and paddle boats are available for rent. Swimming is permitted, however, there are no lifeguards on duty.

Masters Swim Team

Masters Swim Team is a national organization that provides organized workouts, competitions, clinics, and workshops for adults aged 18 and over. The team practices on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7pm and Fridays from 6-7am. Drop in practices are $7 each or academic memberships are available from $50-150.

Kool 2B Fit Kids Camps

Kool 2B Fit Kids Camps are held during February and April school vacations for kids ages 6-12. These camps offers youth the chance to engage in a diverse selection of fitness activities, from group games, swimming, and ice skating to snowshoeing, aerobics classes, and indoor rock climbing.

Kayak Clinics

Kayak clinics are available every Wednesday night from 9-11pm at the Field House Indoor Pool. Learn to enter, exit, roll and other kayak skills. $5 per class, or $20 or 5 classes.

How To Acccess:

Community Sailing

The Community Sailing Program offered at Mendums Pond teaches people of all skills and age levels how to sail. It is offered in the spring, summer and fall and is open to the public. Prices vary per course and participation and UNH Faculty and Staff receive a 10% discount.
