UNH Community Testing Program

The Exercise Science program offers Community Testing services conducted by faculty and graduate Laboratory. Some of the fee-for-assessment evaluations include blood lipid analysis, body composition analysis, submaximal and maximal graded exercise tests, and anaerobic threshold (lactic acid) testing. Peripheral Artery Disease Exercise Prgoram

The Peripheral Artery Disease Exercise Program is for individuals with a clinical diagnosis of peripheral artery disease (PAD). It is for anyone with this condition who wishes to improve overall health and well-being through exercise and education about lifestyle modification for the improvement of symptoms usually felt with normal activities of daily living. Exercise testing and prescriptions are developed and monitored according to a research-proven PAD exercise protocol and the individual’s needs and goals.

UNH Employee Fitness Program

The UNH Employee Fitness Program (EFP) is housed in the Field House overlooking the main gym floor on the UNH-Durham campus and is approximately 3,600 square feet in size.  A wide variety of state-of-the-art aerobic, strength, balance exercise training equipment is available.  Graduate and Undergraduate Exercise Science students are actively engaged in this program under the guidance of a faculty member.  All EFP participants undergo extensive testing that culminates in an exercise prescription followed by personal training.  Recruitment for this Program is during the Fa

The Marriage and Family Therapy Center

The Marriage and Family Therapy Center provides assistance to individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of personal or relationship problems. The Center uses a sliding fee scale. Counseling is available to faculty, staff, adjunct employees, students and community members.

Hearing Screenings

Free hearing screenings are offered each May. Screenings are about 15-20 minutes long, located in Hewitt Hall and conducted by graduate students.

Cardiac Rehabilitation and Prevention Program

The Cardiac Rehabilitation and Prevention Program is an exercise program for cardiac patients. It is for anyone with coronary artery disease (CAD) or CAD risk factors who wishes to improve overall health and well-being. Exercise testing and prescriptions are developed and monitored according to an individual’s needs and goals. Each session costs $5.
