Summer is rolling around and that means heading home from school and finding a new workout routine. While some people might have membership at a gym at home, many people find working out in the house or outside to be a better option. If you are looking for workout inspiration, look no further!

Run

Running is a simple but effective way to burn calories as well as improve leg strength and cardiovascular health. Try running through neighborhoods or if you are looking for a bit more adventure try running on trails through the woods. To increase the intensity of your workout try incorporating some High Intensity Interval Training.

Swim

Lots of public pools are open in the summer. For a low impact workout try hopping in the pool and swimming some laps. You can also incorporate intervals or different strokes to work different muscles as well as improve your cardiovascular fitness.

Hike

Summer is a great season to get into the habit of hiking. There are some beautiful mountains throughout New England. Hiking not only is a fun activity, it also works lots of different muscles and improves your cardiovascular health. Get some fresh air, lace up your sneakers and hit the mountains.

There are lots of different options to help you stay fit for little to no cost in the summer. These are just a few fun ideas.
