There is rarely a time that I go through campus and don't
see someone running. It is a really easy way to get in some exercise and bypass
the crazy rush at the gym. But, for some of us who aren't that great at running
or have injuries or even just get bored doing it, there is hope. I have really
bad shin splints and want to be able to run long distances and do races, but my
shins hold me back. So, when I heard about the Couch to 5k app, I bought it
instantly. It is a 30 minute run that you do three times a week. During the run you
alternate between walking and running.
