Durham is alive again with the buzz of returning students! Campus is back in full swing with classes starting and friends reuniting. With so many changes happening, it can be hard to keep your head on straight and manage your stress. Maybe you’re an incoming freshman and are having a hard time adjusting to dorm life or making new friends. Maybe that first day of that Biochemistry class made it seem like it will be way over your head. Maybe you’re not comfortable in your dorm yet and don’t feel at home.

Do you feel like you are spending way too much time indoors whether it be in class or your room? Well a great way to appreciate the beautiful weather is to go for a run outside! Running is a great form of exercise that has numerous health benefits.  Going for a run can help strengthen your muscles, help build strong bones, lower your risk for heart disease, maintain a healthy weight, and even improve your mood and mental health.

Through this department, students get exposed to many aspects of health care, including data analysis, finance management, epidemiology, ethics, and policy. A reoccurring theme throughout the Department’s courses is health promotion.
