UNH Flu Vaccine Clinics for Faculty, Staff and Dependents

Entrance to the UNH Health Services Employee Clinic, outside the door is a sign on the sidewalk letting people know today is a faculty/staff flu clinic.UNH is offering seasonal flu clinics on the Durham campus for ALL employees during September and October, coordinated and sponsored by UNH Health Services Employee Clinic, Harvard Pilgrim HealthCare and Human Resources.
 
Getting a flu vaccination each year is the best way to protect you from the seasonal flu along with other preventive actions such as frequent hand washing, covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing and sneezing and avoiding touching your mouth, eyes and nose to stop the spread of germs.
 
The UNH Durham flu clinics listed below have been scheduled on different locations, days and times to give flexibility for employees to attend. Advance registration is not required for any of these flu clinics.
 
If receiving the seasonal flu vaccine for the first time, please allow a 20 minute wait time after being vaccinated.

Flu Vaccine Clinic at the UNH Employee Clinic, Health Services Center

  • Wednesday, September 25, 1:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, October 1, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. 
  • Wednesday, October 16, 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. 

There is no out-of-pocket cost to USNH employees or their dependents (age 18 and older) that are Harvard Pilgrim subscribers through USNH who present a valid HPHC card at the clinic. The claim for the cost of the vaccination ($25) will be submitted directly to Harvard Pilgrim.

For employees not insured through the USNH Harvard-Pilgrim employee plan, Health Services can submit a claim to your insurance company; please bring your insurance id card to your visit.  You should check with your insurance company prior to your visit to ensure that they will cover the cost if you receive your vaccination at Health Services. 

If you do not have insurance, the cost is $25 and is due at time of service. We accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

  • Wednesday, October 9, 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., West Edge 
  • Tuesday, October 22, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., 338/340/MUB (please note this is the day of the HR Benefits/Services Fair) 
There is no out-of-pocket cost to employees or their dependents (age 4 and older with parental consentthat are Harvard Pilgrim HealthCare (HPHC) subscribers through USNH presenting a valid HPHC card at the clinic. The claim for the cost of the vaccination ($25) will be submitted directly to Harvard Pilgrim. For non-Harvard Pilgrim subscribers, the cost is $25 by cash or check only made out to Maxim Health.
 

*For all clinic dates, if you bring family members with you, please have the insurance card for each vaccine recipient.

If you have a chronic illness, you may make an appointment at Health Services to receive the vaccine at any time. 

Additional Information 

Fluzone High-Dose Seasonal Influenza Vaccine 

This vaccine is available for individuals 65 years of age and older. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends flu vaccination as the first and most important step in protecting against the flu; however, neither CDC nor ACIP has expressed a preference for one vaccine over another at this time.
