What makes you passionate about your work?

"Definitely my parents, actually my whole family. I was always told I could be what I want to be. There was no limit or restraints so I was able to grow and be really creative. I tend to think outside of the box more, I get more creative to a certain extent because of no limits that anyone placed on me."

What are the joys and challenges of being a woman?

"A lot of power. A lot of power in being a women and I love it! We can do a lot of stuff that in previous decades the women couldn't."

What hopes and dreams do you have for others?

"That they can have the same kind of freedom and rights that I have now. A lot of other countries don't have that and I hope we can maintain and further that. I really like living in the US, because you do have that freedom. Whether male or female, I can go do lots of stuff. I hope that other women can see that possibility and have dreams of their own and be creative and not be cornered into a box of thinking that they can have the opportunities that I have."

How have you balanced your life?

"Balance is a funny word. But realizing that I'm very much a social person and I need social activity to balance, I can do 20 things at once. I can multitask like you wouldn't believe, but I realize that I must have friends and have a social life to be able to be happy doing all those things. It's taken a little bit of experimenting with the balance there, it's a work in progress."

"Last semester I was in Germany with the National Guard for the entire month of September. I came back and ran my campaign for state representative and I ran a couple of events at Smith Hall. I got a little crazy, a lot of stuff goes on. I ran with my dad, a joint campaign... we lost but I got 754 votes besides my own family!"

So you really do want to be president?

"Yea, yea I'm not joking about that one."
