Clinical Services Provided

  • Annual Exams/Pap Smears/Cancer Screenings
    Health Services provides annual gynecological exams and Pap smears.
  • Abnormal Pap Smears
    Follow up of abnormal pap smears showing Low Grade Squamous Intraepitheal Lesions (LGSIL) involves getting a colposcopy with a physician.
  • Breast Self-Exams
    One in eight women will get breast cancer at some point in her life. If detected early, breast cancer often can be successfully treated. Although breast exams are provided at all annual gynecological exams we recommend that you give yourself a self-breast exam at least once a month. This interactive video from the Susan G. Koman Foundation will walk you through the process.
  • Contraceptive Services
    Making the choice to use contraceptive methods can often be overwhelming. Our staff is available to educate you on the options you have available to help you make an informed decision.
  • Emergency Contraception
    Emergency contraceptive, also known as the "Morning After Pill" is available at Health Services to all students over the age of 18.
  • HPV and the HPV Vaccine Gardasil
    We offer the Gardasil Vaccine, against Human Papillomavirus (HPV). It is highly effective against four types of HPV that are the cause of most cervical cancers and genital warts. The vaccine is recommended for females age 9 – 26.
  • Lesbian Health Care

  • Menstrual Cycles Difficulties
    We are available to talk with students about difficulties they are having with cramps, heavy bleeding and Pre Menstrual Syndrome (PMS).
  • Missed Periods and Menstrual Problems

  • Pregnancy Testing, Options and Support
    In most cases, we free pregnancy testing to students. If the test is positive, we can offer support and guidance on the options available.
  • Sexual Assault
    Health Services provides clinical care to individuals who have been sexually and/or physically assaulted.
  • Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Testing
    25% of college students in the U.S. have either been infected with a Sexually Transmitted Infection or transmitted an STI to their sex partner(s). A minimum wait time of 3 weeks is encouraged before the tested will be deemed accurate. You can get tested for STIs at Health Services.
