What is physical wellness?
Physical wellness is taking care of your body for optimal health and functioning.
What are some signs of physical wellness?
- Not smoking. Find out how you can stop smoking if you’ve already started.
- Exercising, incorporating flexibility, strength and cardiovascular training. See UNH Campus Recreation site.
- Getting routine check ups such as yearly physicals.
- Eating a balanced diet.
- Getting enough sleep, such as 8-10 hours per night.
- Limit alcohol intake, 0-1 per day for women and 0-2 per day for men.
- If you choose to be sexually active, engage in consensual and safer sex
- Learn to manage stress before it manages you
