UNH It Gets Better
About the UNH It Gets Better Project
The mission of the It Gets Better Project is to instill a sense of hope for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, queer, questioning, and intersex youth that life gets better, and to inspire and create the necessary changes in individuals, communities, institutions, and nations to make it better for them.
Since 2010, when the It Gets Better Project began, it has become a worldwide movement, inspiring more than 50,000 user-created videos viewed more than 50 million times. To date, the project has received submissions from celebrities, activists, politicians and organizations life UNH.
In 2013, Health Services student intern and UNH student Ari Schaaf decided to create an It Gets Better UNH. In the making of this film, Ari enlisted the help of friend and Ally, Jen Clayton, and Videographer and Ally Emily Ryder, who together, have created a beautiful, thoughtful, sensitive, and thought-provoking It Gets Better.
