Count on MediCat
Have you been here...
A resident calls you and tells you they are really sick, but too sick to walk to Health Services, they ask you for a ride. You state that you can't give them a ride to our facility. Later that day, the parents call you concerned about their child asking again if you can get them over to Health Services. What should you do?
If one of your residents is ill and not able to make it to Health Services to be seen by our clinical staff, we recommend that they call (603) 862-2856 to speak to a Triage Nurse. The nurse will assess if there is self-care information the student can follow on their own, in the residence hall, or if they need to come to Health Services to be seen by a Physician or Nurse Practitioner. If this is the case, and the student has no other means of transportation, Health Services will arrange transportation through MediCat for the student to be transported from their residence hall to Health Services.
If it is an emergency, 911 should be called.
If you are ever unclear about our clinical services or have questions, please call (603) 862-2856.
