H1N1 Vaccine Clinic for Students (ages 17 – 24 years of age) with Chronic Health Issues

UNH Health Services has obtained a limited amount of H1N1 vaccine from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services to distribute to high-risk groups. At this time we are able to administer the vaccine to students (17 – 24 years of age) with chronic health conditions.

If you have a serious chronic illness, you may be in a high-risk group. These include:

  • disease of lungs, heart, kidneys, liver, nerves or blood
  • diabetic or other type of metabolic disease
  • currently taking medication for asthma
  • taking a medication which may compromise your immune system
  • Crohn’s disease or other major intestinal disease
  • spinal cord injury
  • seizure disorder or epilepsy
  • post transplant
  • cancer
  • immunosuppressed

Health Services is conducting a clinic for students with chronic health conditions:

Day/Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2009
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Health Services Conference Room, Second Floor

There is no cost to receive the vaccine.

In order to obtain the vaccine at this time, you must make an appointment through HealthOnline on the Health Services Web page: http://www.unh.edu/health-services/healthonline/

Health Services will be screening to verify that you are eligible to receive the vaccine at this time.

Please note there is only a small amount of the H1N1 vaccine available at this time to immunize students (17 - 24 years of age) with chronic health issues. Appointment slots for this clinic are limited. We are anticipating receiving additional vaccine for students (17 - 24 years of age) with chronic health conditions over the next several weeks. Please continue to check the Health Services web page for information on future clinics.
