GSS Fee Oversight Process

Each fall, the GSS works with the Undergraduate Student Senate and the UNH Administration to review graduate student mandatory fees and the rates charged by Housing and Dining.

After meeting with the auxiliary units (the UNH Departments that charge the fees, i.e. the MUB, Campus Rec, etc.), the GSS Financial Affairs Committee and Executive Committee draft informational sheets regarding each of the proposed fees. The entire GSS then votes on the proposed fees. Afterwards, the GSS Executive Committee drafts an official statement regarding the fees for the UNH Administration. That statement is then presented to the Financial Affairs Committee of the USNH Board of Trustees at the meeting where they consider the fee rates for the next academic year (usually in January).
